Yard waste in Northeast Ohio runs on a calendar. Spring brings the brush piles and fence sections from winter storm damage; summer is landscaping tear-outs and overgrown shrub removal; fall is the leaf-and-branch avalanche; and any high-wind week can drop limbs across a Streetsboro or Kent driveway overnight. The city curbside programs only take so much: bundled brush under a certain length, paper-bagged leaves, one bulk item a week. So the storm pile, the old split-rail fence, and the dirt from a regraded bed are exactly the stuff that gets left behind. That overflow is what we load and haul.

There are real limits to know going in. Most municipal pickups cap brush at roughly 4-foot lengths and refuse anything a single person can’t lift, and they won’t touch dirt, sod, fencing, decking, or root balls at all. We have none of those limits. We bring the truck and the crew, gather scattered debris ourselves, and take the heavy material (dirt, sod, stone) that curbside flat-out rejects, pricing it by weight up front so there’s no surprise.

Where it goes matters too. Clean brush, branches, leaves, and grass route to composting and mulching operations across the Summit, Stark, and Portage region rather than the landfill. Yard waste is one of the highest-diversion loads we handle, around 95%. Clean lumber from old fencing goes to mulch processors; metal posts and hardware go to scrap; only treated or painted wood and mixed debris head to disposal.
